Roadie to Noosa

Everybody loves a good roadie up the coast. We squeezed three weeks of holiday out of the christmas break and headed north from Sydney.

A journey is often dictated by our stomachs, so here are our foodie highlights along the way...

Valla

This beachy town is a great place to stop in for a delicious smoothie and vegetarian friendly lunch at the Beach House Cafe. While you are in, buy a loaf of the walnut and cherry sour dough.

Bellingen

Dan's hometown, this small hipster paradise along the river has an offering of craft brews and organic foods. A stop here is never complete without brunching at the Purple Carrot or enjoying live tunes and dinner at No. 5 Church Street. For some fine local beer on tap try the Bellingen Brewery & Co.

Coffs Harbour

The Jetty Strip has an ecclectic range of small bars and restaurants. For your caffeine hit, stop in at Supply Specialty Coffee & Bar for a delicious flat white or a bottle of homemade Kombucca.

Byron Bay- AKA my spirit town

This laid back bohemian paradise is home to all of my favourite fashion labels. The Rails has some good live music offerings and you can't go past the trendy Treehouse on Belongil for a healthy brekkie. The beach is bliss but try to avoid the festival seasons when the town sees a huge influx of visitors.

Noosa- The Double Bay of the Sunshine Coast.

Eat breakfast on the beach at Bistro C before taking a dip in the luscious warm waters of the bay. Take a walk along the coast through the National Park, home to the secluded and nudist-friendly Alexandria Bay.
