Hiking in The Swiss Alps: Säntis

Climb every mountain.

After crossing the Swiss Alps several times by van (and witnessing the incredible transition from summer to autumn), we were well overdue for some hiking. Blessed with glorious sunny weather at the tail end of Autumn, we headed to Säntis. We were promised on a clear day to be rewarded with views over Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, France and Italy.

Hiking Säntis.

Säntis is very close to Konstanz on the German-Swiss border. You can park your car at the base of the mountain and start the 4 hour loop. It's a very accessible trail and the only difficulty was the struggle up the driveway, from where we parked the car to the start of the trail.

Learn from our mistake and carry some Swiss Francs with you, so you can enjoy a beer or cider with a view!
